For over 20 years the Iowa Department of Natural Resource’s Aquatic Education Program has recognized outstanding educators whose programs exemplify the goals of Fish Iowa! with the Brass Bluegill award.
Do you have a great program or know someone who does? Download a Brass Bluegill Nomination Form and submit by November 30, 2014.
The award is presented at a DNR Natural Resources Commission meeting in the spring. The recipient also receives spinning rods and reels for use with his/her program.
Fish Iowa! strives to create safe anglers and responsible stewards of Iowa’s aquatic resources. Fish Iowa! is supported by Sportfish Restoration Funds, which are obtained from excise taxes paid on fishing tackle and related items and fishing license dollars.
